Chennai: U. Vishal claimed six wickets for 38 runs to help Jain Combines defeat Rane Engine Valves by 45 runs, in the Canara Bank-Kancheepuram DCA second division cricket match here.

The scores: First division: Krishnaraj RC 196 in 44.2 overs (M. Vignesh 89) lost to Garnet RC 198 for seven in 43.2 overs (G. Babu 41).

Garnet RC 167 for nine in 45 overs (Linesh 70, Smuvel four for 62) lost to Flakt India RC 168 for five in 38.4 overs (Vijaya Kumar 44).

Second division: Prahalad CC 120 for eight in 30 overs (S. Keshav Krishnan 62 n.o.) lost to Venugopal Club 122 for five in 25.3 overs (Mani 52).

Jain Combines 166 for nine in 27 overs (B. Sanjeevan 61, Muthu four for 32) bt Rane Engine Valves RC 121 in 25.2 overs (U. Vishal six for 38).
