Dindigul in final

CHENNAI: Dindigul edged host Tiruvallur 4-3 via tie-breaker after the two teams were locked 1-1 in full time in a well contested semifinal match in the under-19 junior State football championship here on Monday.

Dindigul went ahead in the 32nd minute through Antony Amalraja. Tiruvallur caught up thirty minutes later when Shankar found the equaliser.

The contest then went to the tie-breaker where Dindigul came up trumps with Inba Karthikeyan, Antony Amalaraja, Sureshkumar and Nagarj scoring. For Tiruvallur only Senthilvel, Sivanthapal and Gunasekaran could convert.
