Chiru’s Rayalaseema tour from Nov. 15

HYDERABAD: Praja Rajyam president K. Chiranjeevi has decided to tour Anantapur and Kadapa districts, traversing 531 km between November 15 and 20.

He will take an early morning flight to Bangalore and drive down to Kodikonda by road, covering a distance of about 100 km. The third lap of ‘Praja Ankitha Yatra’ will kick off at Kodikonda checkpost on the Andhra-Karnataka border in Anantapur district at noon on November 15 and will wind up on the evening of November 20 at Kodur in Kadapa district.

He will halt at Puttaparthi on November 15, Anantapur (Nov. 16), Tadipatri (Nov. 17), Proddatur (Nov. 18) and Kadapa (Nov. 19) and end his yatra at Kodur late in the evening on November 20.

At a press conference on Monday evening, party spokesman Parakala Prabhakar welcomed the government’s decision in celebrating April 11 from next year as Mahatma Jyoti Rao Phule Jayanti.

He said Dr. K. Ravinder Reddy, who was until recently State president, Indian Medical Council, and presently a member of the Medical Council of India, Maturi Srinivasa Chakravarthi (Telugu Desam), former Mayor of Rajahmundry had joined the party.
