Conference on Child Rights takes off

Hyderabad: A youth conference on Child Rights called ‘Yuvagam 2008’ was conducted by the Interact Club of Hyderabad Public School recently.

The conference had students from 9th and 12th classes donning the role of representatives of the SAARC nations and voiced their opinion about child right violations. The event was inaugurated by principal, Capt. (IN) Alokesh Sen (Retd.)

Yuvagam 2008 started off with Secretary General, Varun Munjuluri speaking about the right to education as a fundamental requirement for all children. The students were urged to stress on the importance of children being aware of their inherent rights and were asked to be able to make a difference to the current situation.
