Prime accused in American Centre attack arrested

KOLKATA: Mohd. Sadiq alias Sadakat, prime accused in the attack on the American Centre here on January 22, 2002 has been arrested by the Mumbai police. Six persons were killed and several others injured in the attack.

Javed Shamin, Deputy Commissioner, Detective Department (I), Kolkata Police, told The Hindu here on Monday that the Mumbai police arrested Mohd Sadiq on September 24.Mohd. Sadiq is a member of the Indian Mujahideen and is also suspected to be involved in various subversive activities.
