East India pips Mico

BANGALORE: East India HC, thanks to two second half goals, pipped Mico 2-1 in the State ‘C’ division hockey league at the KSHA stadium here on Monday.

Arun (37th) and Laxmana (50th) scored for the winner before Vimal reduced the margin for Mico with a late strike.

In another match, Bellary HC drubbed Joyce HC 11-1 with Lakshman (4), Yeriswamy (3), Bharat, Shasu, Rathna and Rajesh getting the goals. Birender struck Joyce HC’s consolation goal.

There will be no match at this venue on Tuesday (Nov. 11).
