Correspondent

CUTTACK: A 17-year-old youth was killed and two others were critically injured in bomb attack at Triveniswar panchayat under Mahanga block of this district, about 50 km from here on Sunday evening. The injured—including the one, who hurled the bomb were rushed to SCB hospital here where doctors on Monday confirmed their condition is critical.

According to hospital sources, the teenaged boy Alok Rout was brought dead to the hospital whereas the condition of his uncle Arun Rout (40) is stable. The bomber Rajkishore Naik (45), also with third degree burns is still serious.

Police sources informed that Rajkishore attacked the uncle-nephew duo with bombs over a trivial issue of felling a tree in the locality. While the first bomb missed the target, the second went off when the three were engaged in a scuffle.
