KOLLAM: A State-level animal husbandry festival, ‘Jeeva 09,’ will be held at Karunagapally, near here, in the second week of January. Publicity convener of the festival B. Aravind said here on Monday that an exhibition was also being organised in connection with the festival. The decision to conduct the festival was taken at a meeting held at the Government Guesthouse here last week. Dr. Aravind said that the festival would begin with a colourful cultural procession. Competitions would be held for farmers and students. There would be seminars, cattle shows, pet shows and an exhibition of ornamental fish. Cultural programmes would also be held.
