Spot talent in youth: collector

KORAPUT: It would not be proper to compare the level of talent available in other parts of the nation with that of Koraput district. The youth of this mountainous region lag behind for the lack of adequate exposure, Gadadhar Parida, district Collector said while inaugurating the district-level cultural competitions of Parab, the State-level tribal festival, being held on the premises of Koraput Cultural Society at Koraput on Monday.

Moreover people in the district needed to acknowledge the talented youth first before others honour them elsewhere. Youth who were taking part in various competitions could be encouraged by the organisers of Parab by giving at least a participation certificate , he added.

Cultural competitions, essay and quiz were conducted among the schoolchildren .
