Lecture on corruption

The Right to Information Act was a milestone in the road to transparency and should help curb corruption at all levels, Visakhapatnam Port Trust Chief Vigilance Officer P. Murali Mohan during a lecture on “awareness on corruption in public life” organised by the GITAM Institute of Management.

Corruption was a weakness and not strength and it was a criminal activity that could be curbed at individual level and not at societal level.

He advised that if the common citizens took a stand to combat petty corruption, the large corruption would automatically reduce.

GITAM Institute of Management Principal K. Sivarama Krishna presided over the meeting.
