Boy falls into borewell, dies

Kannauj (U.P.): A nine-year-old boy died after falling into a borewell in Bhanvargada village here on Saturday.

The well was in the agricultural field of Satyabhan Singh, who has been arrested. The boy, Puneet, was mentally challenged. The bore was around 60-feet deep and the boy was trapped at around 32 feet, police said. The body was taken out at the end of an eight-hour operation. — PTI
