Man succumbs to stab injuries

CHENNAI: A 54-year-old man, who was stabbed by two men over a temple dispute in the city on October 28, died in a hospital on Saturday.
The Virugambakkam police said that the victim, Anbu, a resident of Saligramam and movie production assistant, was associated with the management of a temple near his house. The accused, Viji alias Vijay Kumar (28) of K.K. Nagar and Babu (35) of Mangadu, had a dispute with him over finances of the temple.
On the night of October 28, the duo confronted Anbu, stabbed him and fled the spot. The victim was taken to a hospital. Viji and Babu surrendered on October 30 at the George Town court and were remanded to custody.
