MADURAI: A photo exhibition highlighting the life history of C.N. Annadurai was displayed at the OCPM Girls Higher Secondary School here for five days from Monday to Friday. A. Tamilarasi, Minister for Adi Dravidar and Tribal Welfare, inaugurated the exhibition in the presence of Collector S. S. Jawahar. The exhibition was part of the Anna Centenary celebrations being organised by the State Government. The exhibition featured rare and famous photographs of the late Chief Minister and founder of Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam. The exhibition was a display of photographs on chronological order depicting stages of the leader’s student life to social and political life. Photos along with leading figures in Indian political and social world and ones portraying his achievements in the field of art, literature and drama were on display. In order to make the youth of this generation get a glimpse of Annadurai’s life through this pictorial representations, the Public Relations Department of Government of Tamil Nadu had sent 140 photographs to each district in the State for public display. The exhibition was also held at Usilampatti, Melur, Peraiyur, Tirumangalam and Vadipatti in Madurai district.
