Secretariat to shift to winter capital Jammu

Jammu: The Jammu and Kashmir secretariat will shift to Jammu, the winter capital, from Monday.

“The Raj Bhavan, Civil Secretariat offices, the Assembly and the Legislative Council will start functioning in Jammu after their re-opening here tomorrow [on Monday],” government officials said.

Over 300 trucks and buses carrying over 1,700 employees, files, records and other materials reached here from Srinagar amid tight security, the officials said. — PTI
