Dress material for Colombo
CHENNAI: As many as 8,000 bundles containing dress materials for 80,000 families is getting ready for despatch to Colombo from Co-optex head office on Pantheon Road.
Talking to The Hindu on Sunday, Co-optex official said, “on Sunday, we were able to load only a portion of the dress materials onto five containers. The remaining bundles will be loaded onto 11 more containers after getting customs clearance on Monday. Shipping Corporation of India is taking care of logistics and hence we do not know when it will be shipped.”
The official said that each package contained dress material for 10 families. — Special Correspondent
