The highlight will be the Jawaharlal Nehru birth anniversary celebrations on November 14 which will feature fancy dress competitions, solo classical dance and on-the-spot painting competition.

The following day, the Samiti will organise a fund-raising children’s walk commemorating Nehru’s thoughts and ideals at the Children’s Park near India Gate.

At the festival, painting competitions would also be organised on a daily basis. Then there will be stage programmes like classical dance, folk group dance, solo vocal and instrumental music.

Literary competitions will involve essay and story writing, and original poem recitation. A fancy dress competition depicting famous freedom fighters and eminent personalities from all walks of life will be the other highlight of the six-day festival.
