Villagers block road

BERHAMPUR: The Digapahandi-Shergarh road in Ganjam district remained blocked at Bhaliajhol for several hours by an angry mob of villagers following a road accident on Friday night. A bike had hit one Simamanchal Nayak at the spot. Simamanchal had died at Digapahandi hospital. The villagers had blocked the road demanding compensation to the family members of the deceased and arrest of the bike rider. A police team from Patapur police station reached the spot to intervene and clear the road.
