According to a release, the electronic cards would contain details of family ration cards, driving licence, voter identity card, community certificate, all welfare schemes and cooperative schemes, income certificate, schemes of the Civil Supplies Department and identity cards or certificates issued by different departments. If provided, the electronic cards would not only solve the difficulties of the public but also reduce the work load at government offices to a large extent, the release said. Registrar of Cooperative Societies Raviprakash, Adi Dravidar Welfare Director Anbazhagan, Managing Director of Amudhasurabhi Ganeshan and other officials were present at the meeting.
