Close win for Andhra

HYDERABAD: Andhra scored a one-wicket win over Punjab in the first round of the women’s under-19 all-India super league cricket tournament which began here on Friday. In another match Mumbai defeated Jharkhand by two wickets.

The scores: Jharkhand 157 (Anjana Dubey 39, Rini Burman 28, Shweta Haranhalli three for 13, Punam Raut three for 29) lost to Mumbai 158 for eight (Punam Raut 71); Punjab 137 for nine (Renu Verma 28) lost to Andhra 138 for nine (Sneha Deepti 34 not out, C. Moksha three for 25).
