THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: NABARD has released the second instalment of Rs.89.06 crore to Cooperative banks and Regional Rural Banks in Kerala under Agricultural Debt Waiver and Debt Relief Scheme 2008 (ADWDRS) of the Government of India. With what the cumulative amount released under ADWDR Scheme 2008 to the Cooperative banks and Regional Rural Banks in Kerala has gone up to Rs.831.21 crore. Out of Rs.89.06 crore released, Rs.55.64 crore has been released to Kerala State Cooperative Bank Ltd (KSCB Ltd), Rs.11.66 crore to Kerala State Cooperative Agricultural and Rural Development Bank Ltd, (KSCARDB Ltd), Rs.12.01 crore to North Malabar Gramin Bank (NMGB) and Rs.9.75 crore to South Malabar Gramin Bank (SMGB). The cumulative amounts released to various banks are as follows — Rs.519.27 crore to KSCB Ltd, Rs.108.80 crore to KSCARDB Ltd, Rs.113.58 crore to NMGB and Rs.89.56 crore to SMGB. NABARD has also instructed KSCB and KSCARDB to pass on the amount to DCCBs/ PACS/PCARDBs without adjusting any amount due from them to the higher tiers.
