‘TDP thrusting dynastic rule on people’

Special Correspondent

VIJAYAWADA: Pradesh Congress Committee spokesperson and MLCPaladugu Venkata Rao said on Thursday the Telugu Desam Party had insulted the intelligence of the Telugus by thrusting upon them the rule of the ‘Nandamuru dynasty’. Addressing a press conference at the Andhra Ratna Bhavan here Mr. Venkata Rao said the founder of the party NTR thrust regionalism down the throats of the Telugus in the name of protecting ‘Telugu self respect’, but his sons and grandsons were trying to thrust dynastic rule on the people of the State.

Mr. Venkata Rao said the primary objective of Yuva Garjana was to stop the cadre of the TDP from slipping away. Is the “Nandamuru Vamsam” the only weapon the party could conjure up to prevent the exodus of party activists to other political parties, he asked?

He said the TDP leaders have shown the people the worst possible in politics. “They have shown the people what is infighting, back-biting and even back-stabbing and now they want to force dynastic rule on the people. He said the Telugu Desam had nothing to say to people, but that it would defeat Congress. TDP would have done something worthwhile if it answered the umpteen questions being asked by people. Former Minister M.K. Baig, former MLAs Adusumilli Jayaprakasha and Jaleel Khan, city president Pyla Sominaidu and others were present.
