Cash stolen from woman

CHENNAI: An impostor cheated a woman and relieved her of Rs.2.5 lakh in cash at Royapettah here on Wednesday.

Police said that Khaja Nijamuddin and his wife Sulthana of Royapettah returned home after drawing Rs.2.5 lakh from a nationalised bank in the locality on Wednesday. An unidentified person diverted Sulthana’s attention to some dirt on her sari and made away with the bag containing the money.
