dated November 7, 1958: Youth festival

The Union Home Minister Pandit Pant on November 5 told the 1,600 boys and girls from 34 universities assembled in New Delhi for the Fifth Inter-University Youth Festival that there was no room for frustration and despondency in India because the country’s resources were unlimited and the future bright. Pandit Pant, who was presiding over the concluding day’s function of the ten-day festival, gave away the prizes to various teams for their commendable performances in dance, drama, music and elocution and arts and crafts.
