Centre urged to control vegetable prices

PUDUCHERRY: The National Federation of Indian Women, Puducherry urged the Central government to control the rising prices of vegetables and essential commodities and make them available at fair price shops.

According to a press release, the federation said the government should also reduce the cost of petrol and diesel.

Measures to protect Sri Lankan Tamils from attacks should be taken, they demanded.
