Young Stars HC posts win
BANGALORE: Hubli’s Young Stars HC inflicted a rare defeat on Germanite HC 3-1 in the State ‘C’ division hockey league at the KSHA Stadium, here on Tuesday.
Praveen, Sreedhar and K. Raghu scored in that order for Young Stars before Kuttappa managed to pull one back for the Germanite’s.
In another match, Vidyaranyapura HC snatched a 3-3 draw against Belgaum District. Though Vidyaranyapura went into the lead through Vijay, it was the Belgaum side that not only equalised but forged 3-1 ahead. While Bepan Sakib netted the equaliser, Shabay and Aryan struck in the 20th and 40th minutes respectively to put Belgaum 3-1 ahead.
However, Baljeet Singh and George Williams struck a goal each to help Vidyaranyapura share points.
