36 Bangladeshis deported

Shillong: Continuing its crackdown on the illegal migrants in the State in the wake of the recent serial blasts in Assam, the Meghalaya Police on Tuesday deported 36 Bangladeshis to the neighbouring country, police said.

“The illegal migrants were working in the coal mines at Ladrymbai in Jaintia Hills district,” Superintendent of Police Mukesh Singh said. They could not produce any valid documents after they were rounded up. — PTI
