Awards function to empower women

NEW DELHI: To mark International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, Women International Network is organising an awards function at India International Centre here on November 25.

The message of the National Women Excellence Awards-2008 is to “start recognising, respecting, rewarding women and to stop violence against them”.

The award function will also see a deliberation on empowering women with a view to making them job givers rather than job seekers by providing them entrepreneurial leadership as well as managerial competence.
