Teachers on the warpath

BHUBANESWAR: Over 20,000 teachers of block grant secondary schools launched an indefinite strike demanding regularisation of their services on Tuesday.

Earlier these teachers locked up 1314 schools across the State in their attempt to press their demands.

“We have tried all the tricks in our hand to draw attention of the authorities towards our problem. But all our efforts went in vain. This time we are determined to fight every issue to the hilt,” president of Teachers and Employees’ Association of block grant secondary schools Prasant Kumar Mohapatra said.
