Bijapur: The Akhil Bharat Vidyarthi Parishat (ABVP) has called for a nationwide colleges’ bandh on November 12 to pressure the Union Government to take stringent action against the Bangladeshi infiltrators “who are spoiling peace in northern parts of the country”. Speaking to presspersons here on Tuesday, ABVP convener Gopal Chincholli said that though more than Rs. 3.5 crore infiltrators had been living in various States in the North-East, the Centre had become a mute spectator. Mr. Chincholli said a preparatory meeting of all representatives of colleges of Bijapur had been called on November 5 to discuss bandh preparations. — Staff Correspondent
