YSR ‘day dreaming’: Naidu

Special Correspondent

HYDERABAD: Telugu Desam party president N. Chandrababu Naidu on Monday ridiculed Chief Minister Y. S. Rajasekhara Reddy’s hopes of winning 235 seats in the next Assembly elections as “day dreaming”.

Addressing a press conference after releasing a CD, “Sarileru Neekevvaru” for “Yuva Garjana”, Mr. Naidu questioned the basis of Dr. Reddy’s confidence, at a time when the credibility of the Congress government was at the lowest ebb, seeped in neck-deep corruption and all-round failures.

He also launched the party’s website providing for downloading of ringtones, songs, wall papers and videos of the party and film star Balakrishna’s films.

Asked how many seats he was expecting his party to win, Mr. Naidu said he would not indulge in number game, but could confidently say that it would return to power with comfortable majority. He reiterated his charge that the government had spent Rs. 16 crore on advertisements on single day on November 1.
