BANGALORE: Raghavendra struck four goals including a hat-trick as Young Stars (Hubli) scored a thumping 9-0 win over ITC in the State ‘C’ division hockey league championship at the KSHA Stadium here on Monday. In another lopsided match, Leo HC defeated Naveen HC 8-3. Joseph scored five goals for the winner. In the third tie, MICO Sports Club beat Belgaum District HA 4-1. Vinodh, Srinivas shineV. Vinodh and Srinivas scored a goal each as Vidyaranyapura HC defeated Naveen HC 2-1 in a Kodava Cup hockey tournament match here on Monday. Naveen scored Naveen HC’s lone goal in the 16th minute. Bhuvaneswari sizzlesBhuvaneswari’s unbeaten 41 guided Raichur President’s XI to a six-wicket victory over RK Cricket Academy in a KSCA women’s league match here recently. The scores: RK CA 139 for seven in 30 overs (G. Shwetha Pawar 51) lost to Raichur President’s XI 144 for four in 28.4 overs (Bhuvaneswari 41 n.o.). Bangalore Girls CC 59 in 24 overs lost to Raichur Zone Convenor XI 60 for four in 10 overs.
