“Ensure funds do not end up with LTTE”

CHENNAI: Janata Party president Subramanian Swamy on Monday urged the Centre to ensure that funds and materials, mobilised by the State for Sri Lankan Tamils, did not end up with the LTTE.

In a statement, Dr. Swamy contended that the LTTE was holding most of the suffering Lankan Tamils as hostages and a buffer against Sri Lankan army’s attack. So, India should assist Lankan government to free the Tamils. — Special Correspondent
