Audit activities of FIs: Traders

NEW DELHI: In the wake of the international economic crisis and its impact on internal trade in this country, the Confederation of All Traders has suggested that the Union Government audit the activities of financial institutions and private banks through a regulatory mechanism so that a timely call and corrective measures could be taken.

“Private banks operating in the country need to be checked since a large number of people are carrying their banking and financial operations through such banks and institutions,” said a statement issued by CAIT on Sunday.
