Shiv Khera calls for uniform civil code

Staff Reporter

NEW DELHI: Well known author, motivator and Bharatiya Rashtravadi Samanata Party president Shiv Khera addressed a rally at Dwarka over the weekend, touching upon a wide array of issues concerning the citizens of the country.

Addressing the gathering, Mr. Khera said the country was passing through a difficult phase with bomb blasts and riots threatening to tear the country’s secular fabric. He lamented that citizens were still forced to pay bribes to get justice. “And this vicious circle extends even to the availability of basic amenities such as food and water.” Reiterating the BRSP aim to reform the country, Mr. Khera called for a uniform civil code and uniform education system across the country so that everybody could compete on merit.

Speaking on the occasion, the BRSP candidate from Dwarka for the upcoming Delhi Assembly elections, Nidhi Mahajan, spelt out her priorities.
