Malaysia to host Super Series finals

BANGALORE: The Badminton World Federation has announced that the BWF Super Series Masters Finals 2008, with total prize money of $500,000, the highest in the game, will take place from December 18 to 21 in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, Malaysia, according to media release of the BWF..

The announcement follows the successful negotiations, held by by BWF President Dr Kang Young Joong with host nation Malaysia.

The format of the competition remains unchanged with the top eight ranked players/pairs in the Super Series ranking qualifying for the finals. This, however, is limited to a maximum of two entries per event per member association/nation. — Special Correspondent
