5 held for theft

CHENNAI: Five suspects, including three teenagers, were arrested in different theft cases on Friday. Police recovered 57 sovereigns of gold ornaments from them. According to an official release, a special teamarrested the three teenagers studying in X Standard and recovered 30 sovereigns of jewellery from them. The team also arrested S. Kumar alias Vijayakumar (25) of Kottivakkam and V. Ramu alias Ramachandran (24) of Posan Nagar Kuppam and recovered 27 sovereigns of jewellery from the duo.
