Chinna Reddy, Chandrika win titles

VIJAYAWADA: Guntur’s Meher Chinna Reddy (5.5 points) and Naga Chandrika (4.5) won the boys and girls titles respectively in the AP junior chess championship that concluded at Achanta (West Godavari) on Friday. Revanth Krishna of Guntur finished second with five points while Krishna’s Divyasri took the second spot.

Meher Chinna Reddy, Revanth Krishna, Parthik Srivastav (Hyderabad), Abhilesh Reddy (Krishna), Naga Chandrika, Divyasri, J. Sahari (Nalgonda) and Priyamvada (Guntur) will represent Andhra Pradesh in the National junior (u-19) chess championship for boys and girls to be held at Tadepalligudem (West Godavari) from November 3.
