Bavitha scalps five

KOZHIKODE: Off-spinner K.K. Bavitha took five for 11 to star in host Kozhikode’s 200-run victory over Thrissur in the State senior women’s cricket championship at the Corporation Stadium here on Friday.

At the Medical College Ground, Malappuram beat Palakkad by 35 runs.

The scores:

Kozhikode 246 for four in 46 overs (E. Rensy 86, Anu Ashok 49, T. Shani 32) bt Thrissur 46 in 20.4 overs (K.K. Bavitha five for 11, K. Dilna three for 10).

Malappuram 155 for nine in 50 overs (C. Deepthi 48) bt Palakkad 120 in 46.3 overs (Deeshma three for 11).
