THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The load-shedding schedule is being advanced by 30 minutes in the State from Saturday. At present the 30-minute cyclic load-shedding begins at 6.30 p.m. and ends at 10.30 p.m. From Saturday it will start at 6 p.m. and end at 10 p.m., a press release said. The change in schedule is due to early sunset with the commencement of winter. People all over the State have started switching on lights early. The Kerala State Electricity Board has been finding it difficult to manage the power demand from 6 p.m. to 6.30 p.m. these past couple of weeks. Hence the change in the load-shedding schedule, the press release said.
