Winners of contests

Salem: K. Rani of Corporation Gugai Girls Higher Secondary School won the first prize in the elocution competition conducted by the Salem Corporation.

The competition was conducted here in connection with the Local Administration Day celebrations.

S. Sonia of Ammapet Girls Higher Secondary School won the second place and P. Saipriya of Pavadi Girls Higher Secondary School came third.

In the quiz competition that was conducted in connection with the celebrations, M. Kousalya and T.M. Rekha of Ammapet Girls Higher Secondary School won the first place. K. Arjun and Khajan of Fort Corporation Boys Higher Secondary School bagged the second place.

K. Rani and A. Mythili of Gugai Girls Higher Secondary School won the third place.

K. Surya of Fort Corporation Boys Higher Secondary School and M. Aysama of Pavadi Girls Higher Secondary School and Saipriya of the same school were given special prizes.

The winners would be presented with prizes at a function scheduled to be held on November 1.
