AI flight makes emergency landing

New Delhi: A Tirupati-bound Air India flight, with 66 passengers on board, made an emergency landing here due to a technical snag.
Corrections and Clarifications
An ocean near Delhi? An item in "Snapshots", "[Tirupati-bound] AI [Air
India] flight makes emergency landing" (November 1, 2008, page 1),
incorrectly showed the picture of an Air Europa aircraft. As pointed out by
a few readers, the AP photograph related to the incident of an Air Europa
aircraft skidding off the runway on landing, in Lanzarote, Canary Islands,
Spain, on October 31, 2008. The aircraft, flight UX 196 from Glasgow,
stopped short of the ocean by a few metres - as seen in the picture.
