Rupesh wins doubles title, in singles final

NEW DELHI: Rupesh Roy defeated Gleb Alekseenko of Ukraine 6-2, 7-5 to move into the final of the $10,000 ITF men’s Futures tennis tournament in Lahore on Thursday.

He will meet Patrick Taubert of Germany who beat Hsin-Han Lee of Korea 6-4, 6-4 in the other semifinals.

In the doubles final, Rupesh in partnership with Hyun-Soo Lim of Korea prevailed 6-7(5), 6-4, 10-6 over the fourth-seeded Sunil Kumar and Aqeel Khan of Pakistan.
