Spreading the message of freedom

Kochi: Youngsters Anoop John, Cherry George Mathew and K. Sooraj left the city delighted. As freedom walkers who kicked off their campaign at Kasaragod on October 2 to spread the message of freedom in society and software and freedom from environmental issues, they attended a slew of programmes in the city before proceeding for Thiruvananthapuram on Wednesday.

On Wednesday morning, Toc-H Public School, Vytilla, organised an interaction. The trio met members of the school’s Environmental Club after which Mr. Mathew, one of the walkers, spoke on environmental pollution. There was a session with Plus Two students on free software.

Post lunch, the walkers interacted with students at the Vocational Higher Secondary, Irumpanam.

The walk is jointly organised by Zyxware Technologies; GNU/Linux Users Group, Thiruvananthapuram; Swathantra Malayalam Computing; SPACE (Society for Promotion of Alternative Computing and Employment) and Free Software Users Group, Kozhikode.
