Education official inspects school

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: An official of the Directorate of Public Instruction on Thursday inspected the Poonkavanam Maruthamoodu Asha International Model School in Nedumangad after the Valiamala police registered a case against a former school manager, Yeshodharan, 41, on charges of sexually harassing a minor. A complaint was filed by the six-year-old girl’s mother on Wednesday. A.P.M. Mohammed Hanish, Director, Public Instruction, said action would be taken based on the report of L. Kamalamma, Deputy Director, Education, who visited the school. — Staff Reporter
