Clampdown on illegal arches

Thiruvananthapuram: The Corporation would crack down on illegal advertisement boards, arches and banners in the city from November 1, Deputy Mayor V. Jayaprakash said in a press release on Thursday. Legal action will be initiated against advertisements put up in public places without permission. The Corporation would also act against those who put up boards, banners and arches along the ‘advertisement-free’ zone from Kowdiar to East Fort. — Staff Reporter
