KOCHI: Kerala Water Authority will organise a drive to clear the water tax arrears incurred by consumers coming under Kochi Corporation, Chellanam, Kumbalanghi, Mulavukad, Cheranalloor and Kadamakudi from November 1 to January 31. An official release said that water connection of consumers who fail to remit the arrears will be disconnected without further intimation. Consumers should contact the office of the Assistant Executive Engineer concerned to remit the arrears. Water meters, which have become defunct, should be removed before November 20. Consumers should also inform the offices concerned if there has been any change in the type of the water connection provided by the authority, the release said. The public can contact the KWA on misuse of water and illegal connections.
