MADURAI: The Madurai district unit of Tamil Nadu Road Gang Mazdoors’ Union has appealed to the State Government to promote eligible road workers with driving licence as drivers.

In a resolution passed at its recent meeting here, which was presided over by A. Periyasamy, State president Tamil Nadu Road Workers’ Association, the union also urged the Government to promote those with ninth standard qualification as Road Inspectors.
