Four new faces in Andhra Ranji team

VISAKHAPATNAM: Four youngsters have been included in the Andhra Ranji team for this season, the secretary of ACA and chairman of the Ranji selection committee, V. Chamundeswaranath, said in a release from Vijayawada on Thursday.

Off-spinner G.V.S. Prasad; all-rounder D. Siva Kumar (a member of the victorious under-19 World Cup team); medium-pacer G.V. Sarat Babu, all from Visakhapatnam, and left-arm medium pacer A. Veera Babu of East Godavari are the new faces in the Andhra Ranji team.

The team: Y. Gnaneswara Rao (capt.), A.G. Pradeep, H.H. Vatekar, L.N. Prasada Reddy, V. Manoj Sai, A.S.K. Varma, B. Sumanth, D. Kalyan Krishna, P. Vijay Kumar, N. Israel Raju, M. Suresh, G.V.S. Prasad, D. Siva Kumar, G.V. Sarat Babu and A. Veera Babu.
