Orchid’s revenue improves in first half

CHENNAI: Orchid Chemicals and Pharmaceuticals has earned a revenue of Rs. 654.77 crore for the half year ended September 30, 2008 against Rs. 529.87 crore in the same half year last year. Earnings before interest and tax stood at Rs. 124.39 crore against Rs. 124.90 crore. During the current half year, the company suffered a foreign exchange loss on FCCBs of Rs. 140.37 crore.
