Rajat Kharbanda gets the better of Akash

NEW DELHI: Rajat Kharbanda defeated Akash 11-8, 11-9, 8-11, 7-11, 11-9 in a second round match in the sub-junior boys section in the 19th Surjit Kaur Open table tennis tournament at the St. Columba’s School hall here on Thursday.

Khalid scores brace

Mohammed Khalid struck twice as Moonlight Club beat Veterans Club 3-0 in a gorup ’A’ match of the DSA ’A’ division football league on Thursday. Kaleem scored the toehr goal.

In another match, Mughals Club defeated Frontier Club 2-1.

Matches drawn

In other matches, Royal Club held Royal Bengal to a 1-1 draw while Young Boys was held to a goalless draw by Paschim Heroes.

Delhi badminton team

The following will represent Delhi in the National sub-junior badminton championship to be held in Patna from November 10 to 16.

The team: Boys: Bhaskar Chakraborty, Harshvardhan Bisht, Ankit Chikkara, Rishab Sahdev and Gaurav Deswal.
